Here Are the Finalists for the Fourth Annual Shorty Social Good Awards

The finalists were revealed Wednesday morning for the Fourth Annual Shorty Social Good Awards.

Nine new categories were added for 2019: accessibility, animations, arts and culture, cultural institution, games, global campaign, images, mental health and STEM. 

The Shorty Awards said the five most popular categories that brands built campaign around this year were: environment and sustainability, diversity and inclusion, video, storytelling and nonprofit.

And 2019’s top five causes were: environment and sustainability, diversity and inclusion, LGBTQ+, gender equality and mental health.

The five submissions that earned the most finalist nods across the entire competition were:

 

Shorty Awards co-founder and Muck Rack CEO Gregory Galant said in an email, “Companies continue to raise awareness around causes and issues that naturally align with their products and services. Mental health is a new category we introduced this year, and it is also one of the top five causes brands chose to highlight in their campaigns. It’s important to keep the conversation going around important issues, and social media provides the way for brands to connect with millions of users instantly.”
